Being a NICU mom myself I know first hand how stressful and overwhelming it can feel, despite my experience being a short admission after delivering my baby. I’m proud of my little NICU graduate who had the care and support he needed to thrive and come home. This event is also close to my heart being a member of the bereavement team on the Labor and Delivery unit I work on as an RN. Many parents experience loss of their precious babies before or shortly after joining the world, and it is my job to support these families and their babies who are so loved, yet don’t get to have the lifetime of love spent together.
